Dear Instructional Programming Aquatic Principals,

Our mission is to ensure all students have equitable access to aquatic programming if their school has a functioning pool. I will conduct aquatic safety and instructional site visits from October through March, focusing on aquatic safety and aquatic instructional programming. 

For a visit, you or one of your Assistant Principals should be available to meet for about 15 minutes before or after observing the aquatic lesson. If your school is not offering aquatic instructional programming at this time, but the pool is used for after-school activities, a visit is still required, and it will be approximately an hour or less.. If your school offers aquatic instructional programming, my visit will be approximately 2 hours. My visit focuses on ensuring that aquatic policies are in place. I understand this is a snapshot of the programming, and I may only have the opportunity to visit with some aquatic instructional teachers. To prepare for your site visit, please look at the Aquatics Emergency Management Plan V4. The Aquatic Emergency Management Plan V4 is in the SY22-23 Aquatic School Information and Requirements folder. In this folder, you will also find the annual aquatic drill and other pertinent documents and school requirements. Please practice the AEMP ASAP with the aquatic staff.
