I Stand With Immigrants Day of Action is a college based event that Prosser's Dreamers Club participates in. We are one of a few, if not the only high school participating along with hundreds of colleges across the country in highlighting the immigrant experience. We are validating those stories and immigrant experiences at our event. Our focus for the event is sharing our connections to immigration through writing letters of support to our immigrant families, friends, and neighbors in the Prosser community. Sharing our family origins and connections to immigration is what will allow us to create a welcoming community here at Prosser for our current undocumented students and their families. Our school’s Dreamers Club focuses heavily on documenting that experience through video interviews, photos, and the letter writing we usually have at our tabling events.

As always, the ISWI Day of Action is intended for you to engage your community in conversations and celebrations around supporting immigrants on campus and beyond. We are very excited to be working with Voto Latino Foundation as a marquee partner! 

This year is a critical election year so with the support of Voto Latino, we are also encouraging individuals who are eligible to make a plan to vote and keep immigrants at the forefront of their minds while they are casting their ballots.
